People often scam you in Runescape for something they would like to get of you with a cheaper price by tricking you. You wouldn't like that would you? If you were scammed and would like to know how to spot a scammer, then say no more, here is a guide on how to keep away from scammers and how to keep your stuff safe!

1. One popular scam has surely got to be the mistaken amount scam. For an example, you are selling something for 25k, you see that someone is wanting to trade with you and they put in 25k. They accept it and when it come to the, “are you sure” bit of the trade, they retrade and change the amount quickly from 25k to 2.5k hoping you wouldn't notice and you would accept it. This has happened to me but the best thing is to do is take your time while trading. This usually happens with valuable stuff like rune, dragon, etc.
2. The two people scam trick, this I have seen in Varrock twice or thrice. This is when two friends or someone random join forces. One of them in a bank or a packed are announces buying something for a higher price than something is usually by a huge amount. The second person, down the road in a less packed is selling what the first person wants for a super cheap price. A random guy notices it and thinks they can make a pretty big profit so they buy the cheaper item and decide to sell it to the first person. The first person declines and that means you get ripped-of and the other two make money.
3. Trimming, I reckon the MOST popular scam. This happens usually in a packed area once again. The scammer shouts out trimming armor or weapon for free. If you are stupid enough you will trade him and find out that he has just got your weapon or armor for free! Hopefully I'm completely sure none of the people reading this have fallen for it. You can only get trimmed items from treasure trails which are only for members.
4. The “doubling item scam”, which I reckon is really dumb. If you trade them, they often just walk away and are often low levels with really dodgy names to remember to report them.
5. If you do surf the net for free memberships and guys that say they are member of the Jagex Staff and are giving free stuff away, often ask for your username and password. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT give them your username and password and this is also one of the rules in Runescape, "do not give your password out".
6. There are also websites which have a program like thing which you put your username and password in and says you are a member, log in after some amount of time. The websites look so similar to runescape's website and I too have fallen for this trick and so have others.

Ever wonder why every time you walk into the wilderness you get absolutely owned by people several levels lower than you? It's because they know about pures and how to make good pures and you don't... until now. runescape gold
Definition of a Pure:
A pure is an account designed for a few, usually 2-6, specific skills all contributing to one purpose. This purpose is to kill other pures and mains (see 3 definition) in the wilderness. The reason why they only train certain skills is because it cuts down on their combat level. One skill that almost all pures cut out is defence, they find it unnecessary. They also limit prayer.
Definition of a Hybrid:
A hybrid is a pure which uses a combination of attack, strength, mage, and range to fight opponents in the wilderness. They always have 1 prayer and no more, and usually no more then 52 prayer but having more prayer doesn't exactly take away your title of hybrid.
Definition of a Main:
A main is an account with all combat stats pretty much equal. They are usually what most people have unless they are planning on pking. An example of a main would be 40 attack 40 strenght 40 defence 35-ish hitpoints 40 range and 40 mage. The reason why these accounts are terrible for pking is because there is nothing to cut down on their combat level so compared to pures they are incredibly weak for their level. A hybrid of the same combat level as that example main could have: 40 attack 40 strenght 55 hitpoints 70 range and 70 mage.
Low Level Pure:
In my experience the best way to start out your hybrid would be in f2p as a low level mage pure. These are the stats you should be getting and the order I give you is the one I find most efficient to work in f2p if you plan on pking.
Mage: 1-13 wind strike on chickens or something, it really doesn't matter. This only takes a few minutes.
At 13 mage you are able to fire strike so you should fire strike until level 35 magic.
Optional: At lvl 16 mage switch to wind bolt.
Cast fire strike or wind bolt on zombies in varrock sewers.
So now you are still a low level pure but there isn't much of a point in continuing with mage because mages are no longer “ownage” at these levels because you start seeing rangers with dhide. At this point you should start getting your range up.
1-20 range: Chickens use the best bow you can with iron arrows.
20-35 range: I like to range the scorpions in the alkarid mine at this point, just stand up on the cliff outside of the mine and range them. I don't recommend picking up your arrows. If you want a place to pick up arrows then go to cows. Once again, iron arrows and best bow.
35-45 range: I recommend training at zombies in varrock sewers, the thing is that you cant pick up arrows. If you really want to pick up arrows then try alkarid warriors but make sure to bring some food.
So know you are a low level range/mage hybrid. To be a true hybrid you will need to get melee stats also. However I do not recommend adding melee to this until you become p2p.
If you decide to be Melee/Range to start out with instead of Range/Mage then you should have around 30 attack 35 strength and 45-50 range. This kind of a pure is called a range 2h pure.
Low-level pking strategy for a Range/Mage:
You should wear robes because it is impossible to cast in dhide. Start out with a couple fire bolts when you have them at around ½-1/4 hp depending on your combat you should switch to range with the best bow and best arrows you can wield. The semi hard and fast hits should be enough to ko, an extra fire bolt as a finisher works well too.
Low-level pking strategy for a Range/2h:
You should have an adamant 2h in your inventory as well as a str potion and lobsters. When your opponent is at half health hit him 1 more time and just as your bow is being raised to fire the arrow click on your 2h and press attack on him resulting in a shot from an arrow plus a shot from a 2h. When done correctly these two hits should stack up causing a large amount of damage on an unsuspecting opponent.
Mid Level F2P Pure:
Congratulations you have gotten ready to become a mid level pure and have done some pking on the way! Now I still suggest choosing either Range/Mage or Range/Melee. Personally I think Range/Melee is slightly more effective because mage is slow and does not help much in f2p.

Aside from World of Warcraft, no other MMOG titles have come near the worldwide success of Guild Wars, the free-to-play (but not to buy) title from Arena.net. By making a flexible game, one that both Western and Eastern audiences could enjoy, Guild Wars found itself pulled into a head-to-head grudge match with its competitor World of Warcraft. In my trek to review as many MMOGs as I can in these next few months, Guild Wars struck me as a game that desperately needed a review. Prompted by my desire to see a completed article about Arena.net’s game, I fished through my library of CDs and found an old copy of the game that I had purchased years ago. A Blend of Cultures

Logging into the account was a breeze after my initial error, and I soon found myself at the familiar character creation screen. Although created with both the Eastern and Western audience in mind, Guild Wars is not lacking in the character customization department. With six classes to choose from – and then another sub-profession to pick later in the game – players should have no desire to find new classes to play. Indeed, playing through each combo is a journey in-and-of itself. The classes you can select are Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Mesmer, Necromancer, and Elementalist; and each has its own particular focus. While the Rangers excel at ranged combat, the Monk can heal his fallen comrades and the Necromancer can resurrect dead enemies to fight for him.

By blending these classes, you can make your own particular combo-character. For instance, I was always a huge fan of the Shadow Knight in Everquest. So I created a Warrior/Necromancer that sports yellow and blue and wields a monumental hammer (in honor of my Ten Ton Hammer brethren). With PvP such a huge factor in Guild Wars (you can create PvP-only characters based off your roleplaying avatars), class balance is essential and Arena.net has gone to great lengths to insure characters do not break the bounds of their powers.

As far as physical appearance goes, there’s actually an adequate assortment of faces, colors, and hairstyles to choose from, on top of character scale and other options. Your overall appearance will be designated by the class you choose: Necromancers are thin and rangy, Warriors are thick and burly, etc. After that, most of your customization will occur through your weapons and armor that you find later in the game.

After playing through numerous Korean games as of late, it’s a fair assumption that ArenaNet wanted to appeal to both Eastern and Western cultures when they created Guild Wars. Changing a character’s appearance based on their class is one of the trademark touches of the Korean MMOs, and not something you often find in Western titles of the same venue. Even the art styling of the character models borders on that “anime” sort of Asian styling that goes hand in hand with almost any game that plops onto Western shores. The most successful MMO of all time has had its ups and downs just like any online game, yet recently things have taken a bit of a nosedive. Since last Wednesday's regular maintenance a large number of players had been experiencing internet lag of nightmarish proportions. For six days wow gold was practically unplayable on a large number of the European servers. Frequent lag spikes were accompanied by sustained periods of astronomical latency with many players experiencing ping times well in excess of 15,000. Not only did this make for an incredibly frustrating gameplay experience but it also led to a large number of expensive in-game deaths and to the cancellation of almost all raiding activity in the game's high-end content. Many servers were temporarily shut down with barely any notice during this period and the number of disconnects reached what must have been an all time record.wow gold

On numerous nights the affected servers just disappeared from the realm lists, in effect ceasing to exist to the outside world because the lag was so bad that all communication with them timed out. Many other servers continued to function as normal, leading many players to abandon their normal characters to go off and play alternatives and have some fun with the now besieged local residents. A small number of players had become so disillusioned that they sought to cancel or suspend their accounts only to find out that the malaise extended to the billing section with many people locked out of the accounts page, unable to alter their subscription. This last problem is not in any way new; previously many players have been unable to renew their monthly subscription and earlier in the game's life every player was mysteriously charged the subscription fee by one of a number of European hotels, one of the more bizarre billing issues to beset wow gold.

As of yesterday the lag problem has apparently been fixed. Blizzard had initially claimed victory against the evil forces of lag last Friday, citing a faulty piece of hardware as the cause of all the woes. Its replacement was meant to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. Unfortunately no such thing happened and players continued to be denied the service that they were paying their monthly subscription fees for. Blizzard then asked players experiencing problems to aid them by filling out a traceroute form. The more tech-savvy amongst the player community looked at these published reports and came to the conclusion that the problem lay with Telia, an ISP that Blizzard uses to provide the backbone from the Paris datacentre where the European realms are housed and the rest of the internet. Blizzard continued to offer up a range of other possible reasons, up to and including the proposition that it was individual player's internet or computer settings causing the difficulties even though entire servers were experiencing the lag. Any and all queries to Blizzard's technical support, either in-game via GMs or via the forums and telephone support lines were met with 'cut & paste' answers, none of which seemed to tally with the experience of tens of thousands of increasingly annoyed and angry players.

While it is understandable that MMO titles can and will suffer from technical problems and the occasional internet-related setback beyond the developers control, the relationship between the paying players and the game's support team is wholly determined by the efforts of that team. And it is here that Blizzard have been haemorrhaging support from the community. The responses on the official forums to previous problems have often been haphazard, with many posts being routinely ignored while other more trivial posts get the hallowed 'blue' treatment (all posts from Blizzard employees are coloured blue). Calls to technical support lines are often answered with the same lack of care and attention and when these problems extend to sensitive areas like billing and accounts the general consensus is that Blizzard's high command needs to do something, and quickly.

The Underworld

Burial Mound
A very common starter map. Each team is positioned right by one other enemy team. Every team has a priest that will resurrect your team mates every 2 minutes. He is equipped with a weak mace, and casts heal area for 180 (?) points.guild wars gold

Another important feature of the map is the Storm Obelisk. It sits between you and your enemy neighbor. Take your flag, and click on the beacon to make it shoot lightning every couple seconds for ~40 damage. The enemy can recapture the obelisk by putting their flag on it. Your flag will automatically teleport back around your priest. It is possible to capture multiple obelisks.guild wars gold

Broken Tower
This is a king of the hill scenario. There is a 10 minute timer. The point of the map is to get your hero to the middle of the map, where he will claim the center. Every 2 minutes, the team to last capture the center will gain a morale boost of 10%.guild wars gold

There is a special resurrection item. Three of them spawn in the three locations outside. If you drop it, nearby party members will be resurrected. You may pick up an enemy dropped orb quickly enough to prevent the ressurection. When people ressurrect in this manner, they are at approximately 33% life.guild wars gold

Scarred Earth
This map is like 2 round of Burial Mound. However there are some differences.

No priest
Each team is sealed off with a wall until one team dies.
People often try to leave 1 enemy alive to keep their wall up. Also, people like to stand up on the bridge to have the higher ground.guild wars gold

Unholy Temple
This map is a game of capture the flag except with relics. Your ghostly hero will not follow you. He stays at your base, accepting your enemies’ relics carried by you. If your hero is dead, you cannot score. If your entire team dies, you will resurrect every 2 minutes along with the hero.guild wars gold

You will have 10 minutes to be the last to give the enemy relic to your ghostly hero or capture 3 relics before the opponent captures one.guild wars gold

Caution! Holding a relic makes you about 20% slower. You are also unable to attack like holding a flag, but you can use skills not requiring a weapon.
Be careful not to die or drop the relic! Your enemy can just click on it when its on the ground, causing it to be teleported back to their base.guild wars gold
Trapping the area around your relic is a great strategy.
Proving Grounds(?)
This is a 1v1 with resurrection priests. Your base has a long pathway and a short pathway to the enemy base. The short pathway is blocked by a wall that you can open by pressing the button.guild wars gold

The Courtyard
This is another 3 way king of the hill with some differences.

Every team has a resurrect priest instead of a resurrect item.guild wars gold
Each team has a long pathway, and a short pathway to the center. Some player, (enemy or friendly) must click on the button near the middle of the map to open that door.
Try to have the enemy kill your priest at the beginning. If you hold the center, your team and your priest will convieniently resurrect in the middle. Therefore, if an enemy has control of the middle, try not to kill their priest, so if they die, they will respawn far away from the center.guild wars gold

Sacred Temple
This is another capture the relic map. The only difference is that there is a door preventing quick access to your enemies’ base. There is a longer route that leads to some switches that allows the opening and closing of the door.guild wars gold

The Vault
You get to wait here until another hall of hero battle opens up for your team. Be prepared to wait for a while.guild wars gold

The Hall of Heroes
The final battle will yield you a chest full of 3 celestial sigils (to buy a guild hall with) and a random rare item.guild wars gold

There are many skills and over one hundred quests you can do in runescape - you can make many new friends and have runescape adventures with your friends. This guide talks about one of the most important features of the game:runescape combat and its weapons.

Basics of runescape Combat
First off, there are three main types of combat; Melee, Magic, and Range (archery to some). Some people prefer only one of these skills while others prefer to train up two or all three of the skills. These three types of combat have their own advantages and disadvantages that are represented in the runescape combat triangle.

The combat triangle is the situation where melee has good defense and offense against Range because arrows easily bounce off that hard, bulky metal and swords can easily cut through soft durable leather. Rangers will have the upper-hand again mages users because arrows can easily pierce those thin robes and magic is deflected against leather and dragon-hide. Magic users (commonly known as mages) will normally be seen trying to fight a warrior because magic can be shot from longer distances than arrows and the armor has a very weak magic defense and is much heavier than the light robes that mages where allowing them to run for longer. All types of combat also have their own styles to use for accurate, aggressive, or defensive measures.

What people perceive to be the “best runescape weapons” largely comes down to personal preference and also depends on how much you play runescape training your combat and what sort of stats your characters has which can vary greatly from player to player. More attacks and weapons can be used the higher your level in a particular combat skill. Let’s start with melee:

runescape Melee Weapons
First time fighters will have level one attack. This is the only skill required for wielding weapons, but people try to raise their strength, or they will only hit low amounts of damage. At level one attack you can wield only bronze and iron weapons. Both are very inexpensive, but at the same time are not very good weapons.

At level five attack, you will find you can now wield some stronger steel weapons. These are still quite inexpensive.
At level 10 attack, the black weapons are opened up to you. These are the first of two metal weapons (and the only free member weapon) that can’t be made using the smithing skill. While inexpensive, they are harder to find as few stores sell black items.
At level 20 you can use the mithril (also known as “mith”) weapons! These are sometimes the last type of weapon in a store, but some won’t stop here. Still not expensive, but they are not cheap either for beginning players.
At level 30 you can use adamant (also know as “addy”) swords and the like. Addy weapons are more expensive for some players and are the last free member (F2P) weapons sold in normal stores.
Once you have reach level 40 attack and can use the best runescape free to play weapons - Rune! Rune weapons are quite expensive and there is only one shop that sells them in free member, the champions guild which is south-west of Varrock. They can also be bought from other players and be smithed by high level smithers.
The best weapon in runescape for free members is Rune scimitars (also known as “scimmys”). These scimitars are fast and accurate yet still relatively powerful. Some people also prefer two-handers (aka “2h”) – this weapon that cannot be used with a shield as they require two hand to wield so they leave you slightly more prone to damage and they are fairly inaccurate yet they make up for all this by packing a big punch. Other people often like to opt for the battle axe (also know as a “baxe”). These weapons are stronger but slower than the scimitar, yet and are faster but weaker than the two-hander. They can also be used with a shield.

Range is the simplest combat form, the least expensive, and the fastest and most accurate. All you need is a bow and arrows and it requires two hands. At different levels of range you can use different bows and arrows. There are long bows and short bows. Short bows are preferred as they are faster and more lightweight while the longbow can shoot farther distances. There are also crossbows and their bolts which I will go over later.

At level one range you can use a normal short or long bow and bronze or iron arrows.
At level 5 range you can use oak bows and steel arrows.
At level 20 range you can use willow bows and mithril arrows.
At level 30 you can use maple bows and adamant arrows. These are the highest range weapons you can use as a free member.
For level 40 range you are allowed to use yew bows and rune arrows.
At 50 range you can use magic bows and any arrows.
An alternative to wooden bows and arrows, you can use crossbows and bolts. Their advantage is being one handed, meaning you can use a shield. The disadvantage is being slower, heavier, and harder to make. Free members can only use two crossbows, the regular crossbow and the phoenix crossbow, both requiring level one range and only being able to use bronze bolts. Bolts can also be fitted with gem tips.Paying members (P2P) can use bronze crossbows at level one. From there:

Blurite crossbows and bolts can be used at level 16 range.
At 26 range, iron crossbows and bolts can be used.
The Dorgeshuun crossbow requires 28 range and can use bone and iron bolts with out gem tips.
At 31 range, the steel crossbow and bolts can be acquired.
Mithril crossbows and bolts are used at level 36 range.
Once 46 range, a ranger can use adamant crossbows and arrows.
Finally, the rune crossbow and bolts can be used once level 61 range.
Most rangers use the best bow they can use at their range level. The arrows they use depend on how much money they want to spend buying or making them. Most people training prefer iron and steel arrows, but while “player-killing” (also known as runescape Pking), most rangers will use the best arrows they can.

Probably the most favored combat skill for player-killing and quite complex for the game of runescape. While magic can be used for fighting, it can also be used for other uses such as teleporting, changing the appearance of some items, helping others, and much more! While there are no magic level requirements for using different magical objects, you need magic levels to use different spells. Since this guide is about combat and weapons, we will only go over spells and items that can be used to fight:

Magic only requires one hand so a shield can be wielded. You can buy staffs in staff shops or from other people. The staffs are Battlestaff (P2P), Staff, Magic Staff, Elemental Staffs (Air, Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire; have unlimited amount of runes for the type of staff it is, e.g. fire staffs have unlimited amounts of fire runes) Lava Battlestaff (has unlimited amounts of earth and fire runes and is P2P), and the Mud Battlestaff (unlimited water and earth runes and is P2P). Staffs can be used for melee but are very weak. Battlestaffs are much stronger for melee. All staffs can be set to auto-cast spells.

Runes can be bought from magic stores, other players, or made. Most runes are for F2P and include Elemental runes, body runes, mind runes, cosmic runes, chaos runes, nature runes, death runes, and law runes. P2P runes also include blood runes, soul runes, astral runes (required for lunar magic, which we will go over later), and combination runes; a mixture of two elemental runes (thus saving an inventory space). The only runes not used for some type of fighting are nature, astral, and law runes. The runes required to attack and do damage to other players includes mind runes (strikes), chaos runes (bolts), death runes (blasts), and blood runes (waves).

runescape Magic Spells
Strikes are the weakest of the spells. You need to be level 13 magic to use all the strike; air being weakest, then water, earth, and fire being the strongest.
Bolts are slightly stronger and used more for training. At level 35 magic, all bolts can be used.
Blasts – Blasts are the strongest F2P spells and all of them can be used at level 59 magic.
Waves – The strongest of the spells for normal magic, all waves can be used at level 75 magic.
Different Types of runescape Magic
There are 3 different types of magic – Normal (F2P), Ancient Magicks (P2P), and Lunar (P2P). Normal magic is the starter magic and is used for aggressive and non-aggressive uses. Ancient Magicks requires a quest and is more aggressive with a few teleports. These spells are very strong, but also quite expensive in runes. Lunar Magics also requires a skills but is has no aggressive attacks and even has spells to help other people! It requires astral runes for all spells.

runescape Special Weapons – Dragon Weapons
Dragon weapons, and almost all special weapons, are P2P only. All Dragon weapons require a quest to acquire them and level 60 attack to equip them. They are red in color and have their own special attacks. Special attacks can be used by clicking the fighting style menu and highlighting the green bar at the bottom. When in combat, you will use that items special ability and drain part of your special energy bar. When your bar is empty, special attacks can no longer be used until the bar has recharged.

Other special runescape weapons include:

Abbysal Whip - transfers 10% of your opponents energy to you.
Granite Maul – Instantly attacks enemy even if you just attacked them
Excalibur – Raises your defense temporarily by 10%
Seercullbow – Inflicts damage plus reduces the magic level by the number of damage inflicted
Darklight – Reduces an opponent’s attack, strength, and defense
Magic Longbow- An accurate shot that will definitely inflict damage
Magic Shortbow – Two quick arrow shots, but will hit with less accuracy
Crystal Bow – Does not have a special attack but is 80% more accurate than a magic longbow and hits higher than rune arrows and it does not use ammo
Rune Throwing Axes – Will hit many enemies in a multi-combat zone
Rune Claws – Temporarily increases strength and attack for that hit, but slower
Rod of Ivandis – Captures a Vampyre Juvinate that has low health (1/3), allowing you to use a Guthix Balance potion on it
Bone Dagger – Lowers opponents defence by the amount of damage you inflict. Has a very good chance of hitting an unsuspecting opponent
Dorgeshuun Crossbow – Same as bone dagger
